Housing
Southeast Denver is largely post-war: brick ranches and bungalows in University Hills, Virginia Village and Southmoor Park, many on wide lots with mature trees. Central neighborhoods like Alamo Placita and Speer have Denver Squares, Victorians and vintage apartment buildings. West of downtown, Sloan’s Lake and West Highland mix century-old homes with new builds; Central Park, the former Stapleton airport site, is almost entirely new construction.
