Littleton is the Arapahoe County seat, with a historic downtown along Main Street that still feels like a small town. Beyond the city limits, a Littleton mailing address covers a wide swath of the southwest metro, from Southbridge and Columbine to Ken Caryl at the foot of the foothills.

Near downtown, older bungalows and mid-century ranches sit on tree-lined streets. Southbridge and similar neighborhoods add 1970s and 1980s ranches and two-stories on generous lots, while the Ken Caryl area to the west mixes single-family homes, townhomes and condos close to the foothills.
The South Platte River corridor runs through town with South Platte Park and the Mary Carter Greenway trail. Chatfield State Park, to the southwest, has a large reservoir for boating and paddling, and the foothills trails around Ken Caryl and Roxborough are close by.
Historic Main Street has restaurants, shops and a busy event calendar; Aspen Grove and the Streets at SouthGlenn cover larger shopping. Hudson Gardens and the Littleton Museum are local favorites.
Light rail runs from downtown Littleton to Denver along Santa Fe Drive (US-85), and C-470 connects the south side of Littleton to I-25 and the foothills.
