South of I-70 and east of Cherry Creek State Park, Aurora’s newer neighborhoods spread out along E-470 with big skies and reservoir views. It borders Parker to the south, and many of Chelsey’s Parker buyers compare the two.
She has closed sales here from Heritage Eagle Bend and Inspiration to townhomes in Greenbrook and the Colony at Cherry Creek.
Housing here ranges from 1980s and 1990s townhomes and single-family homes near Parker and Quincy roads to newer master-planned communities farther east. Heritage Eagle Bend is a gated, age-restricted (55+) golf community; Inspiration, Saddle Rock and Tallyn’s Reach add newer single-family homes with trails and community amenities.
Cherry Creek State Park and Aurora Reservoir are the big draws — paddleboarding, sailing, fishing and long loops for running and biking. Saddle Rock, Murphy Creek and Heritage Eagle Bend have golf courses.
Southlands is the main shopping and dining district, with additional centers along Gartrell Road and the Parker Road corridor.
E-470 connects to Denver International Airport in about 20 minutes and to Parker and I-25 to the south. Buckley Space Force Base is a straightforward drive north.
