Parker sits along Cherry Creek on the southeast edge of the metro, close enough to the Denver Tech Center for an easy commute and far enough out that the horizon is still mostly sky. On a clear morning the Front Range runs the full width of the view, from Mount Blue Sky down to Pikes Peak.

Chelsey lives in Parker, and her sales here range from ranch-style homes in Stroh Ranch to a new-construction estate inside the gates of Colorado Golf Club.

Housing

Most of Parker was built from the late 1980s onward, so the housing stock is largely two-story and ranch-style homes in planned neighborhoods, many with finished basements and three-car garages. Older Stonegate and Parker North streets have mature trees and larger lots; Idyllwilde, Reata North and Meridian Village are newer, and several back to open space with long mountain views. At the top of the market are acreage properties and the gated custom homes of Colorado Golf Club and Reata South.

Outdoors

The paved Cherry Creek Regional Trail runs the length of town and continues north to Cherry Creek State Park. Salisbury Park, the Rueter-Hess Reservoir area and the open-space corridors between neighborhoods add miles of trail. Colorado Golf Club — a private club that hosted the 2010 Senior PGA Championship and the 2013 Solheim Cup — sits on the town’s southwest side.

Everyday Parker

Mainstreet is the heart of the old town, with restaurants, the PACE Center for performing arts, and O’Brien Park, which hosts community events through the warmer months. Day-to-day shopping clusters along Parker Road and around the Twenty Mile and Jordan Road corridors.

Getting around

Parker Road (State Highway 83) runs north to I-225 and the DTC; E-470 crosses the north side of town and reaches Denver International Airport without touching the city. Many residents commute to the Tech Center, Meridian and Inverness business parks.
