Lone Tree sits just south of the Denver Tech Center along I-25 and C-470, a short drive from Chelsey’s Compass office. Incorporated in 1995, it has grown from a cluster of golf-course neighborhoods into a city with its own arts center, hospital, light rail line and one of the region’s largest shopping destinations.
For buyers comparing the south-metro suburbs, Lone Tree trades larger lots for location: few places in the metro put light rail, shopping and open space this close together.
Established neighborhoods such as Heritage Hills, Carriage Club and the streets around the Lone Tree Golf Club, built largely in the 1980s and 1990s, offer single-family homes, many with mountain views. East of I-25, RidgeGate is a newer master-planned area mixing single-family homes, townhomes and apartments around parks and the light rail.
Bluffs Regional Park has a popular loop trail with views across the city to the mountains, and trails connect to open space throughout RidgeGate. Daniels Park and Chatfield State Park are both within a short drive.
Park Meadows anchors the shopping, with restaurants and services along Park Meadows Drive and Lincoln Avenue. The Lone Tree Arts Center hosts theater and concerts, and Sky Ridge Medical Center is in the city.
The 2019 Southeast Rail Extension brought light rail to three Lone Tree stations, ending at RidgeGate Parkway. I-25 and C-470 meet at the north edge of the city, with E-470 just to the east.
